Hip Hop i Jazzen playliste

I det 20. århundrede var jazz den afroamerikanske udtryksform par excellence. Men i slutningen af 70’erne opstod en ny bølge i New York, hvor unge musikere og DJ’s eksperimenterede med deres forældres jazz- og soulplader. De sammensatte riffs, beats og hooks på nye måder og rappede henover dem. Sådan blev hiphop født – og gennem årtierne har jazz og hiphop inspireret hinanden gensidigt.

Til marts' jazzlytteklub dykkede vi ned i dette musikalske slægtskab og lyttede til hiphop i jazzen – og jazz i hiphoppen.
